New Exchange Format: RADAR Practise Exchange

At the suggestion of several institutions using RADAR Local, we have launched the RADAR Practise Exchange (RADAR Praxisaustausch). The new format is aimed at staff responsible for RADAR at all institutions using the service and provides an opportunity to regularly exchange experiences related to day-to-day operations, first-level support, and practical challenges.

The focus is on direct exchange between institutions – open, collaborative, and in an atmosphere of mutual trust. Participants present their own workflows and practical examples, share proven solutions, and jointly discuss challenges encountered in their daily work. The aim is to learn from one another and benefit from each other's experiences.

Successful Kick-off on 20 October 2026

The first online meeting on 20 October 2026 covered a best practise workflow for publishing larger volumes of research data, a preview of the upcoming RADAR software release, and the joint planning of future meetings. Participants actively contributed questions, suggestions, and lively discussions and jointly selected topics for upcoming meetings.

The RADAR Practise Exchange will take place online several times a year and complements the RADAR User Advisory Board with a practice-oriented perspective.

Next Meeting on 2 February 2027

The next online meeting is scheduled for 2 February 2027 (2 a.m. - 3 a.m.) and will focus on "In-house Promotion": How can institutions raise awareness of RADAR within their organizations and effectively inform researchers about the service?

Other institutions using RADAR are warmly invited to join the Practise Exchange. If you are interested in participating, please contact the RADAR team at info [at] radar-service.eu (info[at]radar-service[dot]eu).

We would like to thank all participants for a successful kick-off and look forward to continuing the exchange!
