RADAR at the Workshop "Data Stewardship goes Germany 2025", 30.09.- 01.10.2025, KIT

This year's workshop "Data Stewardship goes Germany 2025" (DSgG 2025) will take place in the library of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from September 30 to October 1. The workshop is organized by RDM@KIT, the FDM team of KIT, and the Research Data Management Working Group of the TU9 Alliance, in cooperation with FIZ Karlsruhe.

The DSgG 2025 workshop is addressing data stewards, data managers, data curators and other experts from research data management (RDM) and research software engineering (RSE). The aim is to promote an intensive exchange - through lectures, poster presentations and discussion rounds. The focus is on the topic of “Data stewardship in everyday research - use cases and best practices”. A wide range of aspects relating to the practical handling of research data will be highlighted.

RADAR is also represented with its own session: “RADAR - Using AI for better, FAIR research data management”.

FIZ Karlsruhe will present initial development approaches for new AI-supported functions in the RADAR research data repository, which are aimed at automated metadata enrichment and checking the FAIRness of datasets. The aim of the exploratory work is to further improve the quality and reusability of research data while reducing the workload for researchers and curators. Participants´ own experiences and perspectives on the use of AI in research data management are expressly welcome in the interactive session. (see Abstract)
