RADAR contributes to the NFDI Knowledge Graph Infrastructure (KGI4NFDI)

RADAR is now listed as a contributor to the Knowledge Graph Registry of the NFDI basic service KGI4NFDI (Knowledge Graph Infrastructure for NFDI). By registering its Knowledge Graph, RADAR strengthens its integration into the shared semantic infrastructure of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) and contributes to cross-domain interoperability and reuse of research data metadata.

KGI4NFDI is a basic service within Base4NFDI that aims to enable and support the creation, publication, discovery and reuse of Knowledge Graphs across the NFDI. The service focuses on building a federated Knowledge Graph infrastructure, in which distributed Knowledge Graphs remain locally operated but can be discovered, accessed and connected through shared services, standards and interfaces. A central element of KGI4NFDI is the  KGI Registry, which provides an overview of knowledge graphs available in the NFDI context and a central, public SPARQL endpoint for queries. 

RADAR has been generating its own Knowledge Graph on a daily basis since 2023. It is derived from RADAR metadata, bases on the Schema.org vocabulary and provides RDF triples of all RADAR datasets in turtle format (.ttl).The RADAR Knowledge Graph is publicly accessible via a SPARQL endpoint, enabling structured queries as well as integration into external semantic services and applications. By contributing its Knowledge Graph to the KGI4NFDI registry, RADAR increases the visibility and contextualisation of its semantic resources within the NFDI ecosystem and supports their use in federated, cross-disciplinary scenarios.
