Lecture: Aspects of long-term archiving of research data in RADAR, 11.11.2025, Berlin

On November 11 and 12, 2025, the joint workshop of the Research Data Working Group (AK Forschungsdaten) and the Archives Working Group (AK Archive) on the topic "For eternity? (When) does research data belong in archives and how does it get there?" at the Leibniz Association office in Berlin. The event will address issues relating to the long-term preservation of research data and explore the topic from different professional perspectives.

The aim of the workshop is to encourage exchange between stakeholders from research data repositories, digital long-term archiving, and archives that already deal with research data or will do so in the future. Through specialist presentations and in-depth discussion rounds in smaller groups, the aim is to create mutual understanding for the respective areas of responsibility and to explore opportunities for cooperation.

Kerstin Soltau, RADAR product manager, will give an input presentation on November 11 entitled “Aspects of long-term archiving of research data in RADAR” (in German language).
