Secure, easy and cross-disciplinary archival and publication of research data

With RADAR, scientists can upload research data from completed scientific studies and projects via a web portal, compile them into data packages, describe them with metadata, have them peer-reviewed, permanently archive them, or make them publicly accessible.

The research data repository RADAR offers:

  • scientists  a comprehensive and reliable archiving and publishing service for digital research data including a peer-review option.
  • publicly funded research institutions and universities in Germany the opportunity to offer a research data repository for their institution without great effort and thus to sustainably secure their own research output and make it visible.
  • the scientific community access to archived or published research data in accordance with the FAIR Principles, thus making an important contribution to the improved availability, sustainable preservation and independent publication capability of research data.

You would like to use RADAR for research data management at your institution or for your project?

You can choose between three variants of RADAR, so that you can find the best solution for your particular needs, technical resources, and desired level of integration. No matter which variant you choose – RADAR Cloud, RADAR Hybrid, or RADAR Local: usage as a research data repository is subject to a service agreement with FIZ Karlsruhe. We will be happy to support you in finding the appropriate RADAR solution for your needs!
