The 5th RADAR Workshop took place on November 27 and 28, 2019, at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry (IPB) in Halle an der Saale. The 19 participants included representatives from universities, scientific research institutions and initiatives from all over Germany.
The first day was addressed to interested parties and newcomers with a basic introduction to the research data repository RADAR (www.radar-service.eu), a live demonstration of the system, information on prices and contracts as well as a presentation on legal aspects of RADAR and FDM. The second day focused on the exchange of experiences and the joint planning of the future functional development of RADAR. In addition to a review of the last releases, an outlook on the upcoming release and the presentation and joint discussion of the RADAR product backlog, six participant contributions on FDM practice at the respective institutions provided an opportunity for mutual exchange. An update on the NFDI and the role of generic repositories in this context concluded the workshop.
Many thanks to all participants for the exciting questions, contributions, suggestions and discussions!
