Since July 20, 2021, RADAR has been available in the new software version v1.10. The RADAR portal www.radar-service.eu has been fundamentally revised. All RADAR information previously available on the RADAR portal is now available on a new, independent RADAR website: https://radar.products.fiz-karlsruhe.de. The redesigned RADAR portal and the new RADAR website have a common layout and are linked to each other by buttons and menus.
During the relaunch of the RADAR portal, we focused on improving clarity, readability and usability. When the portal is called up, a list of the latest data publications is displayed immediately, allowing for further searching, faceting, sorting, browsing, and access to individual data sets. The optimized header bar takes users to the RADAR login page. In addition, the language selection, the search function for datasets and information on the RADAR test option are available there.
The new RADAR website provides access to all relevant information and documents related to RADAR via the five menu items: About RADAR | Features | RADAR Variants | Agreements & Prices | Support. The home page also includes the latest RADAR news as well as the most recent tweet on our Twitter account @RADAR_Service. The LOGIN and BROWSE DATA buttons in the header provide users with convenient access to the RADAR portal.
In the course of the RADAR portal relaunch, we further optimized the accessibility of the RADAR software and for the first time documented the current status in an accessibility declaration, which you can find here. Currently, we have focused primarily on barrier-free accessibility of the publicly available pages of the portal. In future releases, we will also, step by step, make the pages that require registration barrier-free.
We hope that all this will further improve the user-friendliness of RADAR - for example, when accessing data publications on the RADAR portal or when searching for the desired information on the RADAR website!
Would you like to see for yourself? - You can test RADAR without any obligation. For more information, just click the TEST button in the header bar above.
